Every year it happens, every year.

Rangers AGM is usually focused on funding, transfer business, the development of Ibrox and ticketing, however, Celtic’s, well, it’s usually about us.

This year has been no different with the annual “five-way agreement” question getting met with the same response as it always does but, there has been an even better one which has led to BBC Sport’s senior correspondent Tom English to post an exasperated question on Twitter.

The strange thing is, it’s not even a surprise.

In a week where Professor Brian Howieson has published his book on the financial management of Rangers between 1998 and 2015 confirming what we already know about the differences between club and company, somebody asking what year the team that won the league in 2021 were founded in is just bizarre.

We have FIFA, UEFA, the SFA and SPFL that have all confirmed exactly the same thing, why can’t they just accept it?

They have been told continuousl,y by their own bloggers, a series of mistruths and blatantly made up stories purely to fit an agenda that simply didn’t exist, and yet, they still believe it.

And, for the individual who asked the question……

It was Rangers who won the league. One half of the Old Firm. The most successful club in Scottish football with 150 years of history. The team who won the title that you had dreamed about since 2012, the mythical “10”, arguably, the most important season in your history and we ruined it for you.

We are Rangers, super Rangers.
