Rangers fans relationship with Castore has been a rocky one, the early good will quickly depreciated when issues with stock quality and quantity became apparent, there was little sympathy for the limited time they had to turnaround unprecedented levels of demand in their first venture into football.

Now though, there seems to be a steady improvement with club shops opening around the UK as well as a strong digital presence and with the 150th anniversary celebrations just around the corner, finance expert Kieran Maguire has praised Castore’s commitment to delivering a fitting home shirt for the season ahead, as reported by Football Insider:

“On the back of ’55, Rangers fans are steeped in history.

“I suspect it’s one of those kits where fans will buy one that they want to wear and one which they’ll want to keep in the original wrapping as a memento to go on the wall.

“The relationship with Castore has survived the initial hiccups. Now, I suspect any Rangers fans that can buy one, and clearly there are some whose financial circumstances will prevent that, will want to.

“The kit is really nice. It will be one of those that fans will want to wear long beyond its release.”

Maguire is right, Castore finally seem to be getting on top of the supply and demand issues they had last year, the fact that we were in the middle of a pandemic often being forgotten in terms of production.
