In the summer, there was a surprise announcement that the long-running feud between Rangers and the BBC had ended and that access to Ibrox was going to be given to the public broadcaster once again, it also meant that they would be able to interview players and managers. Everyone was happy.

It would seem though that not quite everyone is capable of maintaining the level of neutrality needed to work for the Beeb with former Aberdeen defender, manager and chairman, Willie Miller forgetting himself as Scott Arfield secured a dramatic late winner at Pittodrie last night.

Sounding more like Aberdeen’s own commentary team, a cry of “AWWW NAWWWW” can clearly be heard as Arfield volleys his side in front with just a minute of the seven given for injury time still to go.

All it does is make the moment even sweeter.

Miller, as with every other Aberdeen fan, thought that they had done enough and that they were taking all three points. To then lost two goals in the last two minutes, almost, makes the win more enjoyable than if it had been a comfortable 3-0 win.

As predicted, it was an entirely more energetic Aberdeen side to the one that faced Celtic at the weekend – almost like they had been saving themselves – and it would was good to see Rangers show something that has been sadly lacking all season, character.

As with Sky’s team of Andy Walker and Ian Crocker, Miller and Liam MacLeod sounded gutted as we came from behind to snatch a win – class, wasn’t it?
