Rangers signed Aaron Ramsey in the hope that he would be able to provide moments of class that could be the difference between winning and losing in tight games, adding goals and creativity to a forward line not lacking in endeavour.

Against Dundee United and Motherwell his experience was sorely missed and time is running out for the on-loan Juventus midfielder to contribute to Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side, with just ten games left to go he has yet to start a league game or play a full 90 minutes.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Rangers correspondent for The Herald, Chris Jack, believes that the 31-year old could struggle to leave any lasting legacy at the club despite the fanfare to which his signing was greeted:

“It’s safe to say he’s not impressed enough so far, and you look at how the season is shaping up, time is not on his side. There isn’t that many games left to get up to speed.”

This is the problem, it’s not just that time isn’t on his side in terms of games, it’s that, after looking like he was nearing match fitness, he suffered another injury putting him back, almost, to square one.

If the last two games has shown us anything it’s that we need as many goalscorer on the pitch as possible, Fashion Sakala made a difference but having Ramsey available as well would give us another option in the final third, for a time, he was one of the finest attacking midfielders in Europe.

Time isn’t the only thing at a premium for Ramsey, with every dropped point, patience is increasingly wearing thin too.
