Alfredo Morelos has sparked further speculation about his future recently after ropes from his homeland suggested that he was looking to move to the Premier League, sooner, rather than later.

With clubs sure to be lining up, a bidding war would be greatly appreciated as Rangers look to replace a striker with 134 goal contributions in 174 appearances – the likelihood is that they won’t come cheap.

Aaron Boupendza of Hatayspor in the Turkish Super Liga has had his name thrown into the mix as a potential replacement by 90min.com and the Gabon international has had an impressive season with 18 goals in 26 appearances.

The report in 90mins.com claims that the 24-year old striker would cost over £8.5million with a host of English clubs also said to be interested in securing his signature, with his contract due to expire next summer, his club will be hoping to cash in to avoid losing such a valuable asset for nothing 12 months down the line.

In what year did Allan McGregor make his Rangers debut?

Boupendza is a left footer, capable of playing anywhere across the front three and has similar traits to Odsonne Edouard, he is good with the ball at his feet, has a powerful and direct dribbling style, and isn’t scared to pull the trigger but needs to improve his hold up play if he is to make it at the next level.

He certainly fits the profile of a player that could do a job for us, as always though, it’s always a matter of cost and whether or not we can get better value elsewhere – Champions League football certainly wouldn’t harm our attempts if we are to go for a player of his quality though.
