Well Thursday certainly ‘burst the Rangers bubble’ didn’t it when Queen of the South stopped us dead in our tracks to end the five-match unbeaten run under Stuart McCall and blow the play-off race wide open.

The win against Champions Hearts was swiftly forgotten wasn’t it….

It wasn’t ever likely, despite an upturn on form, slightly, and fortunes that we would turn up at Palmerston Park and come away with all three points and move above Hibernian again into second but a three-nil defeat wouldn’t have been something many anticipated mind!

Having enjoyed the possession, and the limited chances at the time, very much against the run of play; Lyle (33) tied himself up with a volley into the top corner to put Queen of the South into a lead just past the half hour mark.

Miller was denied by the crossbar but within a minute, well inside 20-seconds, of the second half getting underway Wallace put the ball into his own net but this is being credit to Kidd (46), not that it mattered either way the scoreline was the same, two-nil to Queen of the South.

Reilly (69), when Crawford lost ball to Holt and was put in, made sure of the points when he added the third just past the midway point of the second half to complete the scoring and see us fail to put down a marker in one of our games in hand.
