On Sky

Well, it’s Old Firm time again, and like the last one, and the one before that, and so on, this is the most important game of the season.

It IS important, in fact it’s a real six pointer. Win, and Rangers go ten points clear of Celtic with a game in hand, and the SPL is in the bag. Lose, and Celtic are within four points, then should Rangers lose their game in hand, the race for the title is on.

The build up to Sunday’s game has been dominated with Celtic’s well timed complaint made to the SFA over referee performance this season, and the off field antics of Rangers’ Allan McGregor.

So the big questions are, will the referee be affected by all the talk this week? Will McGregor play? And if McGregor does play, will his head be in the game?

This time tomorrow we will have the answer to all these questions. It will be interesting to see how it all goes down. I sincerely hope that Celtic’s mind games do not work, and Rangers get the right result.

How about this for a climax to the game? 92nd minute of the game, it’s still 0-0, and Allan McGregor, distracted by his off field troubles, loses his concentration and brings down Robbie Keane for what looks like a stone wall penalty… Referee Dougie McDonald awards a goal-kick to Rangers.

It could happen!
