The dust has just about settled following the trophy day celebrations at Ibrox, but preparations for the defence of the title have already been stepped up.
Whilst player trading, under Steven Gerrard and Ross Wilson, will be in progress, the pitch that the team will play on next term will be a completely new one.
As outlined by VitalRangers last week, a new surface is to be installed by SIS Pitches.
Overnight, pictures of Ibrox emerged showing that work on the full pitch transition had commenced.
Rangers haven’t wasted a minute in starting to prepare for the new season after pictures emerged today showing the Ibrox pitch being ripped up as work starts on replacing it.

Work started yesterday evening, meaning there is just under 11 weeks until the curtain goes up on the 2021/22 season.
The new pitch will need to be ready ahead of that kick-off, with Gerrard and the team putting faith in this surface upgrade so that it stays intact and performs well during the harsh winter months.
The Gers boss had commented on the condition of the turf last season and issues continued this year, especially for the big Europa League games against Royal Antwerp and Slavia Prague – when both visitors camps made remarks.
Gerrard stated, “Yeah, it’s awful. We are trying (to sort it), we are trying. We’re trying to find a solution.”
Hopefully, this can be a permanent fix so that all at the club can have a pitch to be proud of, as well as enabling continued progression of the team’s performances on it.
