The morning after the night before.

What a catch for the Rangers skipper, James Tavernier.

Now he has another trophy to take to bed as the Yorkshireman was confirmed this evening as PFA Scotland Premiership player of the year.

This gong is considered by many as the ultimate accolade in terms of the player of the year awards, given that it is decided by peers – fellow Premiership players.

Of course, it completes a hat-trick of such awards for the Ibrox dressing room with Tavernier joining Allan McGregor and Steven Davis who were bestowed with the SPFL Premiership and Scottish Writers prizes, respectively.

What a season all round for Steven Gerrard and his team, with these awards adding extra stardust to the ultimate glory that was the Premiership title.

The season is now finished, rest and recuperation will follow reflection on a truly remarkable, historic term for all at Ibrox.

When the pressure was on, the objective was achieved with plenty to spare having smashed several records in the process.

Piling on the agony, putting on the style.

Glasgow Rangers Champions, individually and collectively!
