The rest of this season could be very exciting indeed but there is good cause to be looking forward to next campaign already as well.
Whilst the likes of Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis are in for the rest of the campaign, we’ve secured new signings for the 2019/20 season too.
And, as well as that, we’ve got some players to come back from their loan spells – including Greg Doherty.
Indeed, he’s been quoted by PA Sport – via BT Sport – as saying how he’s aiming to play for us more next season with him enjoying a strong spell at Shrewsbury Town right now.
He’s said, too, that if he has to dislodge boyhood hero Steven Davis out of the side as well, he will, which could lead to a potential Steven Gerrard selection headache.
