Rangers have had a good window so far and it seems as though Steven Gerrard is far from finished this month.
The Gers have made some top signings with the likes of Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis coming in but there are plenty of other rumours doing the rounds – from far afield as well.
Indeed, according to reports in Iraq, the Gers are looking at Mohanad Ali – a young striker from the country – though nothing is concrete right now:
Iraqi journalist Ahmed Saeed states Mohanad's agent held talks about a loan deal with @RangersFC but there has been no concrete offer. "The player's agent contacted me and confirmed having an offer from the Scottish club Rangers. Nothing formal just offers from agents." pic.twitter.com/9KtiK8d67I

Ali has got a good reputation in his home nation and looks a sharp forward but you have to say it is potentially a risk.
Obviously, we don’t need a new striker as desperately as we did but you wonder whether or not it’d end up being like Umar Sadiq – plenty of potential but just not ready to work out.
We’ll soon see if it happens, of course, but in the meantime what do you think? Deliver your verdict in the poll below…
