It has been confirmed that Police Scotland will investigate Rangers complaints of their player Glen Kamara being racially abused on the Ibrox pitch last Thursday in the Europa League game against Slavia Prague.

Yesterday, VitalRangers confirmed that Slavia had made their own fresh legal counter-move, made via the Czech embassy in London, with police and solicitors in Scotland involved.

With a UEFA probe underway, neither side is backing down in what is a serious situation that has completely overshadowed the Czech’s team#s deserved win on the pitch.

More important for Rangers than the disappointing elimination on the pitch, is the welfare and condition of Glen Kamara and the other black players at Ibrox who have been targeted in the ugly aftermath of this fall-out.

Despite now entering an international week, the row is still evolving and still capturing headlines with the pursuit of the truth and justice as the most important objective.

A police statement on the matter included:

“We can confirm we are investigating incidents of alleged racial abuse and a reported assault following the match between Rangers and Slavia Prague at Ibrox on Thursday 18th March.”

“Officers are liaising with both clubs and enquires are continuing.”

There will be much more to come on this one.
