Ally McCoist has said he can build on plenty of positives from today’s game as the season draws to a close.

Speaking to the Official Site following the victory, the manager said.

‘There’s always the possibility of games towards the end of the season being a bit flat when a league title is already won. One of the most important things in our remaining matches is that the players go out there and realise that they have games to win and a job to do to entertain the Rangers support. I thought they did that to a certain degree, we’ve certainly played better but I’d say that we deserved to win the game.’

McCoist says he thought that we were a little bit too slow in our attacking play today, taking more touches than we needed and he wanted to see us be a bit more direct, but despite that he found plenty of positives such as the performances of Luca Gasparotto and Andy Mitchell. He was also pleased with the impact of 16 year old Danny Stoney.
