Lee McCulloch has said he is delighted to have hit 25 goals this season.

After finding the net in today’s game against Clyde it brought McCulloch alongside Andy Little on 25 in all competitions this season, making him and the Northern Ireland international the first two players to hit a half century in a season since it was achieved by Ally McCoist and Mark Hately way back in 1992/93, where they hit 77 between them.

Speaking to the Official Site following the victory McCulloch said.

‘To be up there with the gaffer and Mark is something special for both of us. I don’t know if Andy knows that but I’ll be telling him later and congratulating him on the part he has played. It’s great going into the history books and I’m delighted about that.’

McCulloch adds that he really isn’t bothered about finishing the season as leading scorer, as he’d quite like that tag to go to Andy because being injured, he knows how much it would mean to him.
