Things did not work out how we would have liked with Ovie Ejaria at Rangers but he has left on a positive note by the looks of things.
When we signed him on loan from Liverpool many of us, myself included, felt as though he’d be a good signing.
With plenty of energy and power midfield combined with Steven Gerrard’s knowledge, the deal had great potential but eventually, things fizzled out.
Indeed, he has gone back to Liverpool and now linked up with Reading for the rest of the season in the English Championship.
He has left on good terms, though, and has issued this message for Steven Gerrard – as quoted by Reading FC’s official website:
“He (Steven Gerrard) is a very good manager and I’m grateful for the opportunity he gave me.”
It would have been nice to see him excel for us but eventually, he seemed a bit overawed by it all and that can happen with young players.
I’m sure we’ll be watching his progress at Reading, though, for the rest of this season.
