The action is set to come thick and fast in March with some massive games on the horizon in both the league and the cup.

It all starts this weekend, too, as the Gers take on Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup quarter-final in what should be a pulsating affair.

Only the Old Firm game is bigger in this country I think for us and so it’s a huge occasion, with a step closer to the final at stake.

We’ll be looking for Alfredo Morelos to provide the spark up top, too, though what happened last time at Pittodrie – and earlier on this season against the Dons – remains fresh in the memory.

Ahead of another meeting, though, Darren O’Dea has sought to defend the striker after the pair met earlier this week when the Gers beat Dundee.

Quoted by the Evening Times, he said:

“He’s physical and likes the rough and tumble. He gets kicked a lot so it’s only fair he kicks out the odd time.”

At last, then, someone that is willing to go against the agenda that’s been aimed at our club and say it like it is.

Fair play to the defender, this is great to see.
