Whether you want to accept it or not, Celtic are in a decent run of form, unbeaten since September the 19th and having drawn just four times over the same period, their sticky start is not a true reflection of what they are capable of, but they aren’t invincible.

The defeat at Parkhead and more importantly, the manner of it, was a sore one to take, Giovanni van Bronckhorst made mistakes with his selection but the players have to take most of the blame, the more competitive second half demonstrating that we just didn’t turn up from the first whistle.

There is though, one area in which Celtic are weak.

As we’ve seen in recent Old Firm derbies, set pieces can play a major role in deciding the outcome of the game and it is an area in which we are a lot stronger.

They have conceded fewer goals than us in the league but of those they have let in, 56% have come from set pieces, Filip Helander’s winner at Ibrox in the first Old Firm being the perfect example of where we can exploit them.

We also have more threats now than we did then, John Lundstram and Aaron Ramsey are both good in the air plus Calvin Bassey at left-back offers a threat that Borna Barisic doesn’t.

It’s a massive part of modern football but if we are to get opportunities we have to be playing the game in their half and cant sit off them the same way that we did at Parkhead, if we do, the result could be exactly the same.
