FA Premier League executive Richard Scudamore told ESPN last night that he doesn’t believe Rangers and Celtic’s wish of playing in the Premiership will become a reality.

‘I don’t think it’s a serious proposition for a whole number of reasons,’ he told ESPN.
‘Scottish football is Scottish football. For a traditionalist like me, that’s where the Old Firm should play.’
He added: ‘I see the benefits for Celtic and Rangers if they moved to our Premier League but I don’t think our 20 clubs are going to vote to allow these clubs into our league.’
I still think the set-up in world football is a disagrace. How much money to Burnley, Wigan or Bolton generate for English Football yet look at the TV cash they all get from people in England AND Scotland through Sky TV!
It is totally unfair that Rangers are hamstrung by the leeches of the Scottish Premier League and the pathetic administrators who are to blame for the terrible TV deal we currently have.
Hopefully this will be resolved in the coming years.
