It appears that all is not well at Murray International Holdings.
Donald Muir, the ‘turnaround expert’ appointed to the board of Rangers recently, has also been appointed to the board of one of Sir David Murray’s other firms, Premier Property Group.
Our current owner’s companies have a huge level of debt with Lloyds, accrued with Bank of Scotland before the recent merger and by all accounts, due to the economic downturn, Rangers and PPG have been hit hardest out of all the companies in ‘The Mint’s’ empire.
It doesn’t take a genius to work out that Sir David Murray isn’t in the game of randomly appointing turnaround experts to effectively run his businesses for him!
