Rangers are through to the Fifth Round of the Scottish Cup after beating lower league side Cowdenbeath on Wednesday night.

Steven Gerrard’s side rushed to a 3-0 lead by half-time but did not please supporters with their second half display, struggling to get at the Fife team further and conceding for a final scoreline of 3-1.

Considering they play in Scottish League Two, many had hoped for a much more comfortable victory.

Gerrard opted to give new signings like Jermain Defoe a start to get some minutes under his belt but fans were left fairly perplexed by his performance, feeling he is not fitting well into the manager’s formation and attacking system.

Given we are paying a fair chunk towards his weekly wage on loan from Bournemouth, should we be expecting more from the veteran striker, match fitness or not?

Hopefully he picks up his performances in upcoming matches but for now Alfredo Morelos is certainly the first-choice.

These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his Wednesday display…
