Arthur Numan is adamant that the only question facing Gio van Bronckhorst as Rangers manager is one of time, slamming his doubters in the process.

After a special week for all at the club, the Dutchman is happy and delighted, especially for his friend and compatriot.

Numan insists this is just the start and as soon as the next few weeks that Gio can bring glory to Ibrox with the team still fighting on three fronts. Yes, he has included the title as still being in contention despite the six point gap at this stage and he is correct. Rangers simply have to keep battling for points until the race is otherwise done.

The popular former full-back told 5 Stars:

“I’m delighted for the Rangers supporters to have so much to look forward to. I’m also thrilled for Giovanni. He deserves the highs of the past week. Some people have openly questioned if he is the right man to lead Rangers. For me, that was never a relevant question.”

“He is the best man for the job and any kind of negative chat surrounding Giovanni must be dismissed and not given any credibility.”

As good as the last two games have been, the team can’t let it be for nothing, ultimately,

Success is required in the Scottish Cup when Rangers will return to the final for the first time since 2016, aiming to end a 13 year barren run in that competition.

The Europa League is a different matter with RB Leipzig representing arguably the best team the Gers have played against in several years and to beat them, Van Bronckhorst will need his team to find another level and to be almost faultless in defence over the two legs.

With the substance and steel displayed recently against Braga and Celtic, a new belief has emerged and anything can happen now, as Numan perfectly summed up:

“We are all in for a very interesting five weeks. Let’s hope there are many more highs to come.”
