After it was claimed that Craig Brown was offered the chance to sign Nacho Novo for Aberdeen, the ex striker has said he would never sign for them.
Ex Rangers favourite Novo’s agent offered the player to Craig Brown it has been claimed, after just one season back in his homeland Spain, but speaking to the Daily Record, Nacho Novo said he would never sign for Aberdeen because he hates their fans and they hate him.
The wee man who famously also said no to Celtic said: ‘I’ve been getting calls all day from people asking if I am going to Aberdeen and the answer is definitely not. I haven’t asked to go there and neither has my agent. He knows nothing about this. I would not go to Aberdeen – why would I give up playing against Barcelona and Real Madrid to play for Aberdeen?’
He concluded: ‘I have nothing against their manager but their fans hate me and I hate them, so why would I want to play for them?’ Novo said his father in law would like him to return to the UK and he said he has not ruled it out but it will definitely NOT be with Aberdeen.
There is reportedly interest in the player from England, Bolton have been tipped for a move to the player. But who knows, maybe he could end up back at Ibrox with the club he loves?
