Rangers are still in talks to sign Motherwell talent Jake Hastie this summer, as reported by The Scottish Sun, countering recent claims that Steven Gerrard had given up on the deal.
The Evening Times reported at the start of the month that despite discussions Rangers had grown frustrated with the process to land the exciting young attacker and had pulled out of any potential contract.
However, The Scottish Sun report that talks are ongoing and the winger could yet end up at Ibrox this summer despite interest from clubs in England.
His current contract at the Steelmen expires at the end of the season and after exceptional form for the club since January he apparently has plenty of suitors.
He’s scored 11 goals this season, seven of which have come for the Fir Park side in 2019.
Still just 20 years of age, the attacker is clearly one of the outstanding emerging talents in the Scottish Premiership and although he’d have a lot to do to break into Gerrard’s first-team, developing the player at Ibrox could be big for us in the future.
