Rangers picked up an important Thursday night win at Ibrox, emerging as 1-0 victors over Russian Premier League side FC Ufa in their UEFA Europa League play-off tie.

Steven Gerrard’s side had a tough evening against the Russians, who are clearly a decent outfit, but Connor Goldson’s finish shortly before half-time was enough to bring a lead into the away leg next week.

It’s not the biggest of advantages but will hopefully be enough to see us into the group stages of the competition.

Fans were pleased with the performance from the team and even had a chance to see cameos from new signing Kyle Lafferty and youngster Glenn Middleton in the second half.

Middleton caught the eye of many with some lightning runs down the left hand side, at one point looking like he may have won a penalty against the away side, which wasn’t given.

Plenty are now calling on him to get more action over Ryan Kent, now that Jamie Murphy is out for the season.

These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his 15 minutes this evening…
