Rangers fans appear to welcome speculation that Kyle Lafferty will be joining the Ibrox side this summer, with many believing his record against Celtic last season is proof he’d be a good signing.
The Daily Record reported this morning that the club are set to return to Hearts with a second, improved offer for the 30-year-old after an initial £200,000 bid was rejected.
Scoring 19 goals for the Tynecastle side last season, he’s shown he still has what it takes to make a big impact in the Scottish Premiership and as support to Alfredo Morelos and Umar Sadiq, would give Steven Gerrard plenty of attacking options.
Three of last term’s tally came against Celtic, including the below strike during a 4-0 thrashing at Tynecastle that helped ensure their unbeaten run came to an end.
Could he give Gerrard’s side an edge when it comes to derby matches? He clearly enjoys going to battle with them and has the mentality to get goals against them.
