This was very funny.

In a second half that was fast running out of steam with the game already won, Alfredo Morelos decided to take things into his own hands, literally.

The Colombian international wasn’t utilised by manager Steven Gerrard but he still made an impact tonight.

Playing with sock tape, Morelos decided to roll some into a ball to launch at the head of his captain, James Tavernier.

Not once, but twice.

Again tonight, his face was a constant source of amusement, pulling all sorts of expressions in his own inimitable way.

Whilst The Buffalo’s Scottish Cup campaign didn’t get underway tonight as Rangers convincingly beat League 1, Cove Rangers 4-0, he will be almost certain to return for the Fourth Round clash against Celtic.

That will be the first of two Old Firm clashes over two weeks – the cup encounter will be played on weekend of 17/18 April with the last league meeting coming a fortnight later.

Both games are set for Ibrox and the champions should be relishing the prospect of really putting their rivals to the sword, ending their season in April, in the process.
