David Murray has given Rangers manager Alex McLeish until the start of December to turn Rangers season round, if the poor form continues then he will be out of a job.

Between now and December Rangers have games against Celtic in the league, Porto in the Champions League and Hibernian in the league, all away from home.

It’s a tall order for McLeish to turn the season round in those three games, especially as they are all away from home but if he can do it he can hang onto his job, for now.

Murray has given McLeish extra time due to his past record for Rangers. Since joining in 2001 McLeish has won seven trophies and his record has been impressive, a lot of people don’t realise that it’s better than Martin O’Neill’s record at Celtic and O’Neill was hailed as a hero.

Fans chief John MacMillan has backed the decision to give him more time and says that the Rangers fans will be happy with this development.
