Rangers manager Ally McCoist has said he needs a whole new team for next season despite clinching the third division championship yesterday.

The team has been really struggling these last few weeks and in general this season at times the team have simply not been good enough. McCoist has said that he will need double figures in terms of new players next season. He is working hard behind the scenes trying to find players to bring in on free transfers on September 1st when the transfer embargo is lifted.

McCoist has been in talks with chief executive Charles Green to discuss targets. Early targets are Dundee United’s Jon Daly and Motherwell’s Nicky Law. McCoist has also been on a scouting trio to Central America. There are also some ex Rangers players kicking about on short term contracts at the moment in Scotland such as Kris Boyd and Kevin Thomson.

I personally would be keen to see us move for the liked of Tom Hateley and James McFadden of Motherwell.
