Former Rangers player John Brown has hit out at his old club over the treatment of chief scout Neil Murray.
Former Rangers midfielder Murray who once scored a Scottish Cup Final goal against Aberdeen to help Rangers win a treble was suspended by the club pending investigation into last summer’s transfer dealings.
John Brown who himself had been working as a scout for Rangers said: “You will get no more honourable man than Neil Murray and it`s disgraceful that he should be treated in this manner. He`s an honest man who played for Rangers and will always have the club at heart. There are some who think I shouldn`t comment on matters like this, but I can`t stand by and see a good man`s name tarnished. Neil is terrific at his job with a great network of contacts and is a big asset to Rangers.’
