Following the Petrofac win over Clyde there are two more injury doubts in the shape of Nicky Clark and Fraser Aird.

With Richard Foster, Jon Daly, Kenny Miller and Arnold Peralta already on the sidelines with short term issues, manager Ally McCoist is certainly hoping the issues those two picked up last night don’t prove to be anything too serious.

Clark had to come off after taking a ball to the face as he had blurred vision, and Aird picked up a dead leg towards the end of the game, meaning we finished it with ten men.

Speaking to the Official Site the gaffer explained.

‘Nicky was struggling with his right eye and we’re hopeful that’s nothing too serious. Airdy has a dead leg and it’s a sore one but we’ll need to see how it is. We certainly don’t want to be losing Freaser from our team, he’s a real livewire.’

In terms of our other injuries, Jon Daly has now been given the all clear to resume full training following his minor knee surgery the other month so hopefully he won’t be too far away now from a return, and Foster and Miller could potentially be in contention for the game against Dumbarton so it is easing on that front.

Peralta will also soon hopefully be stepping up his fitness work as he looks to get his season going underway.

That leaves only Cammy Bell’s shoulder v post battle from the Falkirk game, and the club will no doubt know now any severity despite earlier reports in the press saying he could be out for two to three months.

Speaking earlier today McCoist explained that the press reports were just speculation because he hadn’t even yet had the scan results back yet, but he doesn’t believe it was a dislocation as today Bell’s range of movement was a lot better and he seemed a lot better, but obviously there is a problem of some sort and we’ll get to the bottom of it.

‘Considering we’ve not had a report on the scan yet, we don’t know how long he’ll be out for but we’ll have a far better idea later on. Cammy feels a whole lot better though.’
