Yes, there is always pressure and an expectation on Rangers players but it just feels like tomorrow matters more.

Given the inconvincing form so far this season, the supporters are desperately wanting a reaction and a reason to believe that the team can go from strength to strength.

The manager spoke post-match on Wednesday on his excitement of working with the players on the training ground to put things right however the only way to show that is working is with an increase in performance levels and an upturn in form.

There have been questions posed on the players mentality and will to win. Of course, they want to win by doing their best in the process, however they have to show that they have what it takes to dispell any notions that the excellence of last season was an exception.

Across the title season last term, Rangers scored many excellent team goals, two that spring to mind immediately were James Tavernier’s headed effort against Galatasaray as well as Ryan Jack’s finish on return from injury against Ross County.

So far this season, it has been lukewarm at best, that is the honest truth.

Eight times across all competitions, the Gers have lost the first goal of the game and nowhere near often enough have the champions put the game beyond doubt.

With Livingston’s gallant draw at Parkhead on Saturday, an unexpected opportunity to add to the points gap has opened.

Rangers simply need to grab the initiative and send out a message in Lanarkshire, at noon on Sunday.

Regardless of that result, there needs to be the start of progress and a reaction – desire, bottle mentality, etc.

As above, the only way to show change in the right direction is to put together a run of successive wins.

‘You can have it all, but how much do you want it’.
