Maintain That Level

Ally McCoist has called on the team to maintain the levels they reached in the Queens Park game.

Speaking to the Official Site after the convincing 4-1 victory, McCoist said that he had been discussing with the coaching staff that the players were looking better in training ahead of the game, so he was delighted to see that transfer itself to the pitch.

‘Myself, Kenny and Ian were talking before the game and we felt the boys were looking better. It looked as though there was a burden lifted off their shoulders and pressure had been removed now that the title was won. That was evident and we were hopeful the players could go and record at a better level than they have been.’

McCoist adds he is disappointed that we lost the clean sheet with only a few minutes to go in the game, but he feels ultimately that if we can reach those levels and dominate games like that as we see out the season we can end it on a beautful high and enter next season full of confidence and belief, in an attempt to achieve successive promotions and put the club back where it belongs.
