Lewis Mcleod has said he wants to play a part in the Berwick Rangers game before lifting the first senior trophy of his career.

The 18 year old Young Player of the Year has been sidelined since January after he picked up a knee injury but with his fitness now he could play a part in our curtain closer at Ibrox and he desperately wants to.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game, the player said.

I’ve been training for the last two weeks so hopefully I’ll get a bit of the game, whether I start or come on we’ll see. When I got injured I was looking to get back for the last couple of games but that wasn’t to be, so I’d be delighted to be involved in the last game. Lifting the trophy will be a huge weight lifted off our shoulders after the year we’ve had.’

Macleod says the more senior players have told the youngsters in the team to truly relish the moment of celebrating the league win and lifting the trophy and to use it as motivation for the rest of their careers, because it’s moments like that, that you are in football for.
