Lewis Macleod has already been ruled out of the Scottish Cup tie with Dunfermline tonight.

Manager Ally McCoist was hopeful that the 19 year old would be passed fit at least as far as being able to make an impact from the bench if required in the second half, but he was again missing from training yesterday as injury and health problems continue to dog him, so the decision has been taken to take no risks with the U21 international.

McCoist has said that Lewis will be given as long as he needs to recover fully, but he does have hope that he’ll be able to return for our next league encounter when we play Ayr United.

The squad available to Ally is exactly the same as the squad for Brechin.

David Templeton remains in contention, as he was withdrawn from the game because he was tired, and nothing more.
