A few Rangers fans have been mocking Steven Davis on social media, after the Northern Ireland midfielder set a challenge for young players to complete during the coronavirus crisis.

Davis has challenged young supporters through Twitter to see how many keepy uppys they can manage to record against a wall whilst on lockdown, having been set the task of doing so himself by the Kevin Thomson Academy.

But rather than laud the £1.53m-rated man for his efforts to engage with fans during these unprecedented times, some supporters opted to mock Davis instead and shared their surprise at the 35-year-old not just passing the ball backwards.

Others hinted the 107-cap international should be using the pause in Premiership action to work on his long balls over the top of defences, having averaged just 2.4 accurate chipped passes (54%) and 0.3 key balls per game in the Europa League this season, per Sofa Score data.
