According to the Daily Record, Rangers have received no official bids for captain James Tavernier as of the start of this week.

The right-back sometimes comes in for some criticism but for me he is one of the best in the league and I personally wouldn’t let him go unless some big money comes in.

It appears, though, that no such bid – nor one of a small amount – has actually come in for Tav and so he could well be staying put for the rest of this season at least.

For sure, there was some speculation around the defender earlier this month but that does appear to have subsided for now.

And, that said, with no official bids and just days left in the window, I cannot for the life of me see that we’d let him go unless someone was going to pay well over the odds for him.
