Kai Kennedy recently signed a two-year extension to his current contract and if his recent performance is anything to go by, he could be round for a little while longer.
Making your debut for your new club at 18-years old could be a daunting experience, not for Kennedy, playing against the best team in the Championship in Hearts he showed that he won’t be intimidated by reputation or players with international experience and set about tormenting the Jambo’s rearguard on his first appearance for Raith Rovers.

A man-of-the-match performance and the mouth watering prospect that he could be producing something similar in a Light Blue shirt next season, if he is given the chance.
The Scotland youth cap was pleased with his performance and spoke with a maturity that belied a player with just a handful of senior appearances in professional football.
Kai Kennedy made his debut yesterday winning our second half penalty as well as assisting Reghan Tumilty’s game winning third goal.

He’s not the biggest player in the world at just 1.63m (5ft 3 inches), according to transfermarkt but – as you can see from both his goal involvements against Hearts – he uses his body well and has a centre of gravity that makes it hard for defenders to get the ball off him.
Where do you want to see Kennedy next season?
Out on loan
First team squad
We, as Rangers fans, are now getting to the stage where we would like to see more homegrown talent in and around the squad, Kennedy, on early impressions looks like he could make every bit as telling an impact as the likes of Brandon Barker and Jordan Jones – bringing through our own players is one f the final pieces of the jigsaw in our road to finally being where we want to be on and off the pitch.
