Plenty of Rangers fans have been left fuming by incoming signing Jordan Jones after he scored and celebrated against the club when playing for Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.

The Northern Ireland international fired home the winner for the Ayrshire club before sprinting towards Steve Clarke to celebrate.

On the face of things, all Jordan Jones did in the 2-1 defeat was act like a professional footballer, playing as best as he can for his team and celebrating with his teammates and manager.

Some supporters though do not see it like that and feel the player is now facing an uphill battle to prove himself at Ibrox.

Given the hype surrounding his pre-contract signing and public display of affection for Rangers, some may have expected the Killie star to be a bit more restrained after driving a low finish past Allan McGregor.

Will the fans now welcome him when he arrives in the summer?

These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts…

  • Get a grip, Guy is still a Killie player and still has a job to do. He’s out there showing us what he can do for us next season and folk are saying rip up his contract. Might have over done it when he scored but some folk are just mental

  • Don’t see the sense of the Rangers fans complaining about Jordan Jones. Kilmarnock pay his wages. Do these Rangers Fans not want him not to give 100% to his present club if playing against Rangers. He has every right to celebrate.

  • What a load of nonsense, the guy ran to his manager to thank him for backing him that’s all. Nothing wrong with that as he is still a kill player till end of season, these people sagging him off for his “wild celebration” need to look up the meaning of wild. He just ran to his manager
