With the announcement of the news that Harry Forrester had mutually terminated the remainder of his contract at Ibrox yesterday, the player has now taken to social media to say his own personal goodbye to the fans.

The reaction to the news of the 27-year-old moving on was fairly mixed, some lauded his obvious talent on the ball, others praised his efforts in our shirt and thanked him for the eight goals he scored in his 48 appearances. Others were content to congratulate him for playing his part as we lifted the Championship title, secured promotion to the Premiership and won the Petrofac Cup back in the season of 2015/16.

For others, one memory above all stood out “You Should’ve Squared It To Dodoo”.

Following his departure as a free agent, it has now been reported that he has signed a new deal with Iranian side Tractor Sazi as he begins a new page in his career and attempts a new challenge.

His message above is good natured and he earns himself credit amongst his dissenters I would think for his words. No doubt he probably wishes things had gone a little bit differently with us as well as the tweet seems perfectly genuinely and the simple fact is, he’s never going to play for a bigger club again.
