Insider suggests European side are eyeing key Rangers man

|

According to reports in Turkey, via Scottish outlet the Daily Record, Besiktas could well look to sign Steven Gerrard as manager.

The boss is doing a great job in charge of the club at the moment.

He’s got us top of the league and we weren’t far away from remaining unbeaten in the Europa League against Young Boys.

He plays attacking football and has done a good job in signing players so there’s plenty going for him and it seems as though he is catching the eye at the moment.

Indeed, according to Turkish football expert, Mehmet Demirkol, if a certain name becomes president of Besiktas they will look to try and prise away our manager:

“I heard one of the strong candidates, Ahmet Nur Cebi, has a different name in his mind.

“Steven Gerrard’s name is being discussed.”

Gerrard bring managerial ability and a big name, but I cannot for the life of me see why he would move to Turkey at the moment.

He has a young family and plenty that he wants to achieve at Ibrox so, for me, I can’t see this one being particularly successful.
