Ipswich Town’s George Edmundson has sent a respectful message to all at Ibrox after his move to League One in England was confirmed yesterday.

The powerful centre-half now has a fresh start after a stop-start time in Glasgow.

He should be more than adept in the English third tier and will be an asset as Paul Cook’s side seek a return to the Championship.

Edmundson was noticed last season on loan at Derby County, having fallen out of favour at Rangers after his breach of covid rules, along with Jordan Jones.

The central defender stated, amongst his full message:

“Playing for Rangers FC was a dream come true, one I’m most certainly proud of…”

“Wearing that badge and walking out at Ibrox is a feeling that I will never forget…”

“As for the fans, I can’t emphasise enough the support you have shown me over the 2 years and the incredible atmosphere you all create home and away…”

Best wishes to the player on the next step in his journey.
