Kane Hemmings hasn’t received a new deal from Rangers, and Neil Alexander won’t be returning either next season.

21 year old striker Hemmings has told the Official Site that he was hopeful that he would be presented with a new deal after his contract ran out last month, but it wasn’t to be and he’s now looking forward to a new challenge.

‘I’m gutted to be leaving the club but I’m looking forward. I need to get games and that’s my aim but I’ll always keep an eye open for Rangers’ results as I love the club and I wish the boys here all the best for the new campaign.

Since making his debut as a substitute against Malmo back in August 2011, he made 10 appearances all in.

Goalkeeper Neil Alexander is also moving on after a deal couldn’t be struck on the contract he was offered.

Ally McCoist told the Official Site.

‘Neil’s contract has run out and there was another contract on the table for him, but he hasn’t signed it so it looks as though his future will be elsewhere.’

With players returning for pre season training those who haven’t been offered or signed their deals seem unlikely to stay with the manager being so active in the market for next season.

McCoist also said that with Scott Gallagher now the most experienced backup until Cammy Bell can officially register as a Rangers player he would be in the market for a new keeper as he wants Gallagher to get out on loan so he can really develop, and he does have a couple of clubs interested in him on that basis.
