Rangers picked up their first ever Scottish Premiership win under Steven Gerrard on Sunday, beating St Mirren 2-0 at Ibrox thanks to goals from Alfredo Morelos and Connor Goldson.
The Gers went down to ten men shortly after building their two-goal cushion, with Ross McCrorie’s dismissal meaning that the team had to play the majority of the match a man down.
A big performance was required to maintain the hard earned lead with midfielders like Lassana Coulibaly again stepping up when needed to help his side to victory.
The Malian international has been hugely impressive in the early stages of his Rangers career and fans continue to be excited about watching him in the season ahead, with many hoping already that the club can sign him up on a permanent basis.
These supporters took to Twitter on Sunday to share their thoughts on his performance…
Jesus may walk on water… but Coulibaly can swim on land.

Coulibaly was my MotM today.
He was everywhere. Him and Ejaria kept cool and we recycled possesion really well with 10 men.Good work by the new signings.

What a difference it makes having a group of defenders n keeper who genuinely live off defending man. Then you’ve got Coulibaly playing every role on the park ???? one game at a time but the most comfortable I’ve felt defensively for years ????????????????
