Some Rangers fans are hoping their fellow supporters take matters into their own hands regarding the Paul Gascoigne situation and organise some sort of tribute to the Ibrox legend in the upcoming Scottish League Cup semi-final at Hampden.

The Gers are set to take on Aberdeen in the fixture, with many feeling like it is the perfect opportunity to stick two fingers up at the shambolic hall of fame situation.

Gascoigne’s nomination was withdrawn after reports suggesting that some SFA members would boycott the event should he be entered.

It left supporters, pundits and former teammates of the England legend furious, especially when the excuse of protecting his mental health was given.

Is celebrating his Rangers career with some sort of display the best way to show backing to the nine-in-a-row winner?
