Green light given, Rangers on brink of first January signing

|

The January transfer window is open for business and it seems as though we’re closing in on our first signing of the market in the shape of a Premier League player.

Indeed, according to the Daily Record, Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has given the go-ahead for Davis to move north of the border and now it seems a matter of time before he signs.

An experienced player at the top level that is familiar with our club, it looks like potentially a decent signing – though I won’t get as excited about it as some are.

For sure, I think he has something to offer but he is getting on a bit and so I would like to think we’re going to bring in other options as well as him.

He has the quality to make the difference at key moments in the season, though, and with us firmly in a title race this year that could be all we need to get the trophy.
