Allan McGregor is an intelligent man – unlike half of the pundits in Scottish Football.
Goalkeepers have this issue from time to time – If they jump to catch a ball and a striker knocks their arm out of the way, it generally constitutes a foul. Just like if a defender kicked a striker’s foot out of the way just as he was about to pull the trigger and score.
McGregor told the official Rangers site that he agreed with the refs decision to chop off Marc-Antoine Fortune’s goal in Sunday’s Old Firm clash.
He summed up his thoughts quite nicely: ‘Half of the world will probably disagree, in fact anyone who is not a goalie will probably disagree.
‘But that’s the rules.’
