There is never a dull day in the Rangers life of Alfredo Morelos and today is no different with an article in The Daily Record, tipping him for a move to Barcelona no less.
Former Colombia boss, Jorge Luis Pinto, reckons the Light Blues forward is the ideal man to cover Luis Suarez – who will miss the rest of the season – after suffering a knee injury, he said about the possibility of Morelos filling the Uruguayan’s boots:
“Alfredo Morelos would be the ideal striker to replace Luis Suarez for me”.
“Why not? His performances in the last year certainly suggests that he could replace him. He has been a battering ram at Rangers”.
“I’ve got huge admiration for what Alfredo has achieved so far in European football and he’s still young”.
Obviously this has sent half of Glasgow – and Scottish football Twitter – into meltdown at the prospect of one of the biggest teams in the world signing Morelos, despite there not even being any speculation or rumour linking the club with a move for the forward with 28 goals in 35 games.
Would Alfredo Morelos really be decent cover for Luis Suarez?
Yes
No
Rangers fans seemed to enjoy the thread and jumped on board to spread a little levity and composure whilst all around were losing theirs.
Would be a step down in my opinion, don’t think the barcelona attack are on his level at the moment

He’s an upgrade on Suarez and Griezmann so I can understand why

Obviously, as one poster mentions, The Record have caught hundreds of Celtic fans on the same cast, hook, line and sinker, anybody would think that they were scared of the Colombian firing Rangers to title 55 and stopping their Old Firm rival’s dominance of Scottish football…
