Steven Gerrard was quick to once again throw his players in the firing line at the weekend after a drab performance against St Johnstone.
It was, of course, a poor performance but to keep doing this so publicly is only, eventually, going to invite trouble in the dressing room you feel.
One man that spared the Gers’ blushes further, though, was stand-in goalkeeper Wes Foderingham who got a rare run out with Allan McGregor missing.
It should be no surprise to see, then, that according to the Daily Record’s Rangers live blog (08:54 today) the second choice stopper is considering his future.
Gerrard, then, needs to change things around in this situation because Foderingham is more than good enough to help us challenge on all fronts in the future.
Of course, it’s always hard with two good goalkeepers but if Gerrard can somehow convince Foderingham to stay put, that will be a good step forwards.
