Current interim Inverness Caledonian Thistle boss Neil McCann is heading back to Ibrox.

This season, McCann has been a favourite on Rangers TV and he is heading back to the studio this Sunday for the Old Firm clash.

His regular slot in the Ibrox suite studio was paused as he took up the reigns at Caley – assisting his old pal John Robertson, who stepped away from the game for personal reasons.

Tomorrow’s Championship finale will see McCann lead Inverness for the last time – against Ayr United, as reported by the Inverness Courier:

“I’ve just got one game left, which I’m looking forward to.”

“We had the last training session today and that’s me done.”

“The job was always to come in and take the reins for as long as John needed.”

“It looked like it was going to be towards the end of the season, which is how it has turned out, and John will hopefully be well enough to come back and take the team back on.”

“As far as my future is concerned, I haven’t made any real plans. I’ve got my punditry to go back to, I’ve got other bits and pieces too – I’ve got a degree that I’m working towards now, so I need to get my head back into that.”

“There are a couple of other things that I might want to start again, so I’ve got a lot on my plate, but my focus is on the Ayr United game.

“Once that’s done, I’ll enjoy a wee beer and reflect, and then see where we are,” said McCann.

For the final Old Firm clash this term, he will be joined on analysis duty by one of his former Ibrox bosses, Alex McLeish, for viewers outside of the UK and Ireland to enjoy.
