Rangers are through to the Fifth Round of the Scottish Cup after beating lower league side Cowdenbeath 3-1 away from home on Wednesday night.
It was something of a ‘Jekyll & Hyde’ performance from Steven Gerrard’s side, rushing to a 3-0 lead at half-time before dropping performance levels massively in the second half.
It was a match to move on from and forget and we will have to play much better against Kilmarnock in the next round if we hope to progress deeper into the competition.
One of the players that did get pass marks from the majority was new signing Steven Davis, who completed his first full 90 minutes in a Rangers shirt since moving back to Ibrox this January.
Fans were happy to see him build his match fitness and show glimpses of the quality he will bring to the table over the next few months.
Whether he’s done enough to win a place in the team this weekend remains to be seen, but he’s on the path to that level at least.
These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his performance…
As I said when we signed him. Steven Davis is a different player to the one who left. His passing range and moving the ball quickly are great attributes to have. Only player we have who can do what he does. Him & Jack look good together. ππ»

Cowdenbeath or not. Steven Davis already much improved and looking more settled. Always looks to move ball quickly into dangerous areas. Baller. ππ»

Davis controlled the midfield, We lost our way in the 2nd half, the penalty decision gave them something to fight for and gave them a lift, the game got a bit scrappy from there, never a penalty though,2 yards outside the box and I don't think there was contact tbh π΅π΄βͺ
